WHAT IS HUMAN TRAFFICKING?
Human Trafficking is obtaining labor and services of another person, through force, fraud or coercion. In other words, human trafficking is modern day slavery.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND HUMAN SMUGGLING?
Human trafficking and human smuggling can often be confused with one another. Human smuggling is the transportation, concealment, or harboring of a person to prevent their discovery or detention by law enforcement. Often people desire to be smuggled, but nobody desires to be trafficked.

HOW DOES ROADRUNNER DEFENSE GROUP USE ITS DONATIONS?

At Roadrunner Defense Group, locating and rescuing survivors of human trafficking is our first priority. The majority of our funding goes toward paying off duty law enforcement investigators to locate and recover victims.  Donations also help pay for the upkeep of our website, pay for the use of investigative databases, and to purchase investigative equipment.  

HOW DO YOU RECOVER THE VICTIMS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING?

Members of Roadrunner Defense Group use investigative techniques to locate and make contact with the individuals suspected of being trafficked.  Once located, the individuals are interviewed by our staff, who determine if they are the victims of trafficking, and, if necessary, are paired with shelters and other victim services.  Roadrunner Defense Group provides transportation to any relevant shelters and protection from the suspected traffickers during transportation.

WHERE DOES ROADRUNNER DEFENSE GROUP OPERATE?

Currently, due to funding constraints, Roadrunner Defense Group only operates across the State of Texas. 

WHAT DOES ROADRUNNER DEFENSE GROUP DO WHEN A TRAFFICKER IS IDENTIFIED?

Roadrunner Defense Group's primary mission is the recovery and safety of victims of human trafficking.  Once a trafficker is identified, their identity and the facts of the case are forwarded to state or local law enforcement for prosecution.  The founding members of Roadrunner Defense Group have close working relationships with hundreds of law enforcement investigators throughout the State of Texas.
